Affordable Care Act Moves Forward |

June was a stellar month for Wallace, its patients and the Rockwood community. We couldn’t be more thrilled! The Supreme Court ruling upholding the most critical provisions of the Affordable Care Act means that Wallace’s new status as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is assured. As an FQHC, we will build and expand our primary and preventive services, as well as continue to offer high quality urgent care services. We’ll also begin to provide lab, dental and mental health services--conveniently located, culturally-appropriate and tailored to each patient’s needs.

Breaking News! WMC To Become Federally Qualified Health Center |

We are thrilled to announce that The Wallace Medical Concern will be one of the metro area's newest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).
“This news is beyond exciting,” said Executive Director Lisa Cline, “and so timely for our community. We’ll be moving forward quickly to become a full service health home for our patients. Look for us to be ramped up and ready to go by mid-September.”

On May 11, James B. Reuler, MD R '76, MACP, was awarded the 2012 Dean's Award to a standing ovation. The Dean's Award, given out at the School of Medicine's annual Alumni Association Awards Banquet, recognizes exceptional service to the School of Medicine through an individual's volunteerism, teaching and/or philanthropic support.
